Bible Story: The Fall (Genesis 3)
God gave Adam and Eve a beautiful home in the Garden of Eden. They had everything they needed, and they could walk and talk with God! There was just one rule: they couldn’t eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
One day, a sneaky serpent came to Eve and tricked her. He told her that if she ate the fruit, she wouldn’t die, and she would be as wise as God. Eve looked at the fruit, it looked so good. So she took a bite. Then she gave some to Adam, and he ate it too.
As soon as they ate the fruit, their eyes were opened. They felt shame for the first time. They tried to hide from God, but He already knew what had happened. God asked them what they had done, and they told the truth, but they also blamed each other.
Because they disobeyed, God said they could no longer live in the perfect garden. Life would now be harder. But God didn’t stop loving them. Even though they disobeyed, God still loved them deeply, and He promised a Savior who would one day defeat sin and restore what was lost.
