Introduction Activity Idea
Activity: “Let’s Build It!” Challenge
Give each child (or group) a set of blocks, paper cups, or LEGO bricks. Tell them to build the tallest tower they can, but give no instructions. Afterward, discuss: Was everyone working together? Did anyone have a different idea? Connect it to the story: People tried to build a tower to reach heaven, but they were not following God’s will.

This verse teaches kids the value of humility and staying close to God’s will.
Bible Story: The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1–9)
After the great flood, Noah’s family grew, and more people filled the earth. But instead of spreading out like God told them, the people decided to settle in one place. They wanted to build a huge city and a tower that reached the sky, so they could make a name for themselves.
The people said, “Let’s build a tower that touches heaven!” They wanted to be powerful and important. But they were forgetting something very important, they were acting with pride instead of trusting God.
God saw what they were doing. He knew that their pride would only lead to more problems. So He did something unexpected: He confused their language! Suddenly, they all spoke different languages and couldn’t understand each other.
Since they couldn’t talk to each other anymore, they stopped building the tower. They left the city and spread out across the world, just as God had originally told them to do.
That unfinished tower was later called Babel, which means confused. It reminds us that God’s plans are always better than our own and that pride can lead us away from Him.
