“So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.”

Bible Story Summary (2 Kings 5:1–19)
Naaman was a powerful army commander from Aram. He was brave and respected, but he had a big problem: he had leprosy, a terrible skin disease that no one could cure.
One day, a young Israelite girl who worked for Naaman’s wife shared some amazing news. She said there was a prophet in Israel who could heal him. Hopeful, Naaman traveled to Israel with gifts and letters for the king.
When he finally reached Elisha’s house, Elisha didn’t even come out to meet him! Instead, Elisha sent a message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River, and you will be healed.”
Naaman was furious! He thought the prophet would come out, wave his hand, and instantly cure him. Washing in a muddy river? That sounded ridiculous! He was about to leave in anger, but his servants convinced him to try.
Naaman humbled himself. He went to the Jordan River and dipped seven times, just as Elisha had instructed. When he came up the seventh time, something incredible happened: his skin was completely healed!
Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, Naaman returned to Elisha, praising the one true God. His heart and body were both changed forever.
