Introduction
Activity: “Follow the Path” Adventure
Create a simple path around the room with tape or paper footprints. Blindfold one child and guide them with gentle voice instructions as they follow the path. Afterwards, explain: Abraham didn’t know where he was going, but he followed God in faith! This sets the tone for the story.
Memory Verse
“Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord was pleased with him.” Genesis 15:6 (CEV)

Bible Story (Genesis 12:1–9; Genesis 15)
A long time ago, a man named Abram (later called Abraham) lived in a place called Haran. One day, God spoke to Abram and told him to leave his home, his country, and his family. God didn’t say exactly where Abram was going, just that He would show him the way. That was a big request, but Abram trusted God and went!
God gave Abram a special promise: “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you. All the people on earth will be blessed through you.” Even though Abram and his wife Sarai (later called Sarah) were very old and had no children, they believed God’s promise.
So they packed up their things, took their nephew Lot, and traveled to a new land called Canaan. Along the way, they built altars to thank God and worship Him. They kept trusting, even when they didn’t see any changes right away.
Later, in Genesis 15, God took Abram outside and told him to look up at the stars. “Count them, if you can!” God said. “That’s how many descendants you will have!” Even though Abram didn’t have a child yet, he believed what God said.
God was very happy with Abram’s faith. Because he trusted God, God made a special agreement, or covenant, with him. God promised to give Abram many children and land for them to live in. And God always keeps His promises!
Abraham and Sarah had to wait many, many years before their son was born. But they kept believing. This story reminds us that faith means trusting God, even when we don’t understand everything.

- Timeline of Trust: Create a visual timeline showing how long Abraham and Sarah waited, and how God fulfilled His promise in the end.
